Thank you for visiting the official website of Drexel University’s premier club sport: Roller Hockey. A perpetual contender year in and year out for collegiate roller hockey’s highest honors, the Beasts from the East are among the nation’s best and brightest in the sport.

Comprised of four teams amongst two leagues, DU is a mainstay in the roller hockey lifestyle, at all levels of play, being nationally recognized for its organizational structure and excellent developmental programs. The top two teams compete in the DII and B Divisions of the ECRHA (Eastern Collegiate Roller Hockey Association), a subsidiary of the NCRHA (National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association). They compete at a nationwide level and travel to tournaments all over the northeast.

The second set of teams make up the PCRHL (Philadelphia Collegiate Roller Hockey League) which compete locally with Philadelphia area schools such as Penn State, Villanova, St Joe’s, and West Chester.

Both divisions practice at the Sportsplex in Feasterville PA which is about 30 minutes from campus.

New and interested players are highly advised to register on the Message Board as that is where we do the majority of our communication. The link on the right will take you to the board where you will receive instructions on how to register. You must have a valid Drexel email to sign up. The club is open to all undergraduate and graduate students, both male and female. Stay tuned for updates about tryouts, preseason practices, and possible meet and greets with the team.

Per Drexel IRT … this issue is now resolved. WOOt Drexel!

Just an FYI…new registrations to the message board at www.durhc.com/bb are not currently sending out emails properly. Drexel’s SMTP servers seem to have a problem with the web server that is sending out the emails and is blocking them. I will be checking the registration queue regularly, but if you want to expedite it, please send an email to cio@durhc.com and tell me that you registered and I’ll activate the account.

Full details:

[devnullgt@615314 ~]$ telnet smtp.mail.drexel.edu 25
Trying 144.118.31.27…
Connected to smtp.mail.drexel.edu (144.118.31.27).
Escape character is ‘^]’.
220 smtp.mail.drexel.edu pm1 ESMTP SPAMINATOR
HELO 615314.ds.nac.net
250 smtp.mail.drexel.edu
MAIL FROM:do-not-reply@durhc.com
250 Ok
RCPT TO:ANY_EMAIL@drexel.edu
554 <615314.ds.nac.net>: Helo command rejected: Better luck next time

However, using another DNS name as part of the HELO command seems to work. It doesnt really make much sense, as the A record and PTR records exist for the nac.net domain (which is where this webserver is hosted).

Funny enough, mxtoolbox doesnt have any problems with it. http://www.mxtoolbox.com/diagnostic.aspx?HOST=mail.durhc.com

If it continues I’ll probably be contacting Drexel IRT, but since I moved webservers it may just be cached DNS or something.
